Questions and Answers:
Do you accept insurance?
This is a cash-pay practice; however, many private insurances will cover some portion of the visit and bill it as out-of-network. You have to talk to your insurance to see if they cover out-of-network physical therapy, as well as what percent of the cost they are willing to pay. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance if you decide to use the out-of-network option.
Do you see patients with Medicare and Medicaid?
I legally cannot provide skilled physical therapy to people with Medicare and Medicaid under this kind of payment model. You can check the FND Hope or FND Society Provider Directories to see if you can find other options.
Which states are you licensed in?
My original license is for Utah. I am licensed/allowed to provide virtual skilled physical therapy services to:
-Colorado
-Montana
-Delaware
-Maryland
-Arizona
How do I prepare to get the most out of my virtual visit?
Fill out all of the intake paperwork at least a day before your appointment
AND
If possible, have access to the following:
-A quiet space
-Reliable service/internet and a phone, tablet, or computer
-It's helpful to have someone else with you but this isn't required
-A bed or couch you can lie down on
-A sturdy, firm chair
-An open corner in your home/gym
-It is not required, but is highly recommended to have a blood pressure cuff with heart rate monitoring
Why should I pay cash for physical therapy services?
-The personalized care and attention you receive is unmatched.
-Most physical therapy clinics operating under an insurance model are pressured to quickly move patients through each session and are very restricted by packed schedules. This makes it difficult or impossible to collaborate with your care team/physicians.
-You will have my undivided attention and experience the advantage of receiving cohesive care. This level of care and attention means better outcomes are achieved in a shorter amount of time.
-With an average physical therapy copay of ~$50, less visits and better outcomes can ultimately save you money. High deductibles can also make cash-pay PT services a more affordable option.
What kind of conditions do you treat?
